Abstract

SUMMARY

According to the World Health Organization, cancer affecting female organs represents 19% of annual cancer diagnoses. Gynecological cancer groups all types of cancer that can affect the cervix, ovaries, vagina, vulva and endometrium. Fistulas derived from oncological processes are caused by primary or recurrent tumors that invade the urinary or intestinal structures as a result of their treatment, especially surgical; but also caused by radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The factors associated with the appearance of fistulas in cancer patients are advanced stages of the disease, obesity, diabetes and postsurgical infection. The objective is to define how entero-vesicovaginal fistulas in patients with gynecological cancer can affect quality of life. 4 clinical cases with diagnoses are presented; Cervical Ca St Ib2 complicated with enterovesical fistula, Endometrial Ca St I complicated with entero-vaginal fistula, Endometrioid adenocarcinoma St AI complicated with entero-vaginal fistula, Cervical Ca St IIIB complicated with entero-vaginal fistula. Conclusions The diagnosis of a fistula constitutes a problem due to the impact on the quality of life of the woman who suffers from it. There are therapeutic options, mainly surgical; The choice must be individualized to each specific case
