The use of flexible ureteroscopy has become a minimally invasive, efficient and safe procedure for exploring the upper urinary tract; associated with the use of laser as a fragmentation method, achieving high stone-free rates. Objective: To present the clinical experience in the effectiveness of the use of the single-use flexible ureterorenoscope in patients with lithiasis at the La Trinidad Teaching Medical Center in 2023. Methods: A retrospective, single-center descriptive study was carried out as a cross-sectional investigation with data from October 2022 to July 2023, at the La Trinidad Teaching Medical Center with a population of 31 patients distributed between male and female, for which retrograde intrarenal surgery was performed. Results: The average age was 47 years, minimum 20, maximum 72, and an average of 51. The average size of the stones was 8.31 mm, maximum 30 mm, and the most frequent site was the kidney 48.39%. . The stone free rate of 90%. Intraoperative Double J was placed in 100% of patients. There was one complication (3%) and 15 reinterventions (48%). Conclusions: In this study, the use of flexible ureterorenoscope and laser in the treatment of renal lithiasis, with larger diameters up to 20 mm achieved TLC (free rate of calculations) comparable to those reported in the literature, with a low percentage of
complications, therefore, as it is the first work in our country, we recommend its use due to the benefits offered, lower rate of complications, infections and less hospitalization time.
